Sarah Callahan Black
Owner, Co. Founder, & Performer
Sarah is an award-winning actor and choreographer and the proud owner of Curiouser Entertainment! She is the 2017 Charleston City Paper Best of Charleston Best Local Actress! She has trained in New York City with acting coaches including Bob Luke (on set acting coach for movies including Disney's Enchanted), Neal Lerner (Orange Is The New Black, Girls), and vocal coaches including Bob Marks (past students include Ariana Grande, Lea Salonga, Natalie Portman).
Sarah has worked as a performer, and choreographer for several theatre companies around Charleston including Village Rep, The Footlight Players, PURE Theatre, What If Productions, Charleston Stage, and 34 West! Some of her favorite onstage credits include Dusty in POTUS: (Footlight Players), Sherrie in Rock of Ages, Hilda in The Thin Place, Mary Miles Minter in Hollywood, Marianne Wilson in Disaster! (Village Rep), Alicia in Small Mouth Sounds (PURE Theatre), Andy in Addicted To Love, Jersey in Uptown Girl, Rose in Love Potion No. 9 (34 West), Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, Nina is Stupid...Bird, Ginny in Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche (What If? Productions), Rita in White Christmas (Charleston Stage), and the title roles in Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood with Sprouts Musical Theatre. Favorite choreography credits include Sister Act, Little Shop of Horrors (Charleston Stage), Cabaret, Hair (What If? Productions), and Pippin (Midtown Productions).
Along with the stage, Sarah can also be found in front of the camera! Keep a look out for Sarah as supporting character Gwen in the upcoming, found-footage, horror film Livescreamers, which hits the film festival circuit this year!
Along with winning Charleston City Paper's Best Local Actress in 2017, Sarah has also been nominated for several awards including Best Performance of an Actress (Audio Verse Awards 2016), Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical (Theater Charleston Awards 2013 & 2014), Outstanding Choreography (Theater Charleston Awards 2014), Best Choreography (SC Broadway World Awards 2014), and Best Local Actress (Charleston City Paper's Best of Awards 2018). Ellen Callahan
Co. Founder & Storytime Writer
Ellen is the co. founder of Curiouser Entertainment as well as the author of the "Enchanting Princess Storytime" stories! She carries a Doctorate Degree in teaching with over 20 years of experience teaching college, high school, and elementary school! Ellen has toured the country as a singer and a musician for the show band "Rich Mauro Review," and dance band "Fine Line Entertainment!" She is also a member of the National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges and a certified judge! Ellen loves to spend her free time with her beautiful horses and animals on her 20 acre farm!
John Black
Performer, Graphic Designer
John is a Charleston-based actor who performs with several theater companies around Charleston including Village Rep. and Charleston Stage! Some of John's favorite credits include Philip Lombard in And Then There Were None, Ben Gunn in Treasure Island, Walter in Marjorie Prime, Martin in Seminar, Drew in Rock of Ages (Village Rep.), Peter in Peter and the Starcatcher (Charleston Stage), Hanky in Moonshine County Christmas, and Charlie in I Got You Babe (34 West). John has been nominated for Best Local Actor for the Best of Charleston 2018 Awards and well as for the Broadway.com Awards!
Jesse Black
Photographer
Jesse has been a known shutterbug for over a decade! His work has been featured in Charleston Magazine, and he has taken many promotional pictures for plays, musicals, and events in downtown Charleston, such as "Rock of Ages" (Village Rep.), "Dirty Blonde" and "Heathers: The Musical" (Footlight Players), and the 2018 & 2019 events "Plantasia Eve" for Charleston Horticultural Society.
Olivia Gainey
Performer
Olivia is the 2020 Charleston City Paper Best of Charleston Best Local Actress! She is a Summerville native and enjoys performing in local musicals and plays around town. Some of her favorite roles include Anne Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank, Rachel McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie, Judy Turner in A Chorus Line, Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd (Flowertown Players), and Jim in Treasure Island (Woolfe Street Playhouse). Some of her hobbies include singing, swing dance, guitar, and traveling to NYC to take in all the Broadway shows she can. She has been with Curiouser Entertainment for over five years now now and hopes to continue to put smiles on faces with each and every character she portrays .
Trinity Griffin
Performer
Trinity Griffin is a Graduate of the College of Charleston majoring in Theatre (Performance). She has been involved in musical theatre for 5 years portraying roles such as: Fiona in SHREK THE MUSICAL, Mrs. Potts in BEAUTY & THE BEAST, Cinderella in INTO THE WOODS, and Rachel in LAST NIGHT AND THE NIGHT BEFORE. When she isn’t on stage singing her heart out and being dramatic, she’s at home... singing her heart out and being dramatic. Trinity is excited to turn children’s dreams and imaginations into reality!
